Origin

Built by one person. For one person at a time.

My name is Abhiram Vipin Menon. I'm a high school student. I built Avenor because I got tired of running my life out of five apps that never talked to each other. A task in Reminders. A note in Bear. A goal in Notion nobody opened. A calendar app that didn't know about any of it.

The capture bar came first. One line of text that could become anything. A task, a note, an idea, a reminder. Whichever one made sense given how I typed it. That felt right. The rest of the app grew around that bar.

Avenor is a solo project. No team. No investors. No roadmap driven by enterprise feature requests. Just one person building one app, carefully, for people who care about how their tools feel.

Principles

Three rules. No exceptions.

01 · Capture first

The bar is the app.

Everything else is a consequence of what you've already typed. If a feature doesn't follow from a capture, it doesn't ship.

02 · No setup tax

No system needed.

You don't need a methodology. You need a place to type. Avenor handles the rest — folders, projects, tags, all inferred.

03 · Taste as function

Design is the product.

How an app feels affects how often you open it. Design isn't decoration here — it's the difference between a tool you use and one you don't.
